Coleshill Remembers - Seventy Years

Coleshill,Oxfordshire - 4th July 2010

To mark the 70th anniversary of the Auxiliary Units the National Trust, CART and other groups came together to celebrate the bravery of these men and women on July 4th 2010.

THANK YOU TO ALL WHO HELPED MAKE JULY 4TH A GREAT DAY AND A FITTING TRIBUTE TO THE BRAVE MEN AND WOMEN WHO WERE PREPARED TO LAY DOWN THEIR LIVES TO PROTECT AND PRESERVE OUR FREEDOM.

The day attracted over 1,250 people, which was far higher than expected by the National Trust. We also had over 300 unique hits on this website which is a record. The talks and displays were a great success and we are being sent positive feedback all the time. The one question on everyone's lips is.....when can we do this again?

If you have images of the day you would be happy to send us to use on this website please email them to us. coleshillhouse@gmail.com

The winner of the colouring competition in the Aux Hub was 11 year old Anayah Turner from Swindon and her HM Forces action doll has been posted.
