Captain Joe Allnatt was a group leader for Romney Marsh for a time he controlled patrols 29 (Mushroom), 30 (Truffle) & 32 (Fungus Patrol). Unfortunately a Colonel visiting from H.Q. At Coleshill was looking round some of the local groups when they discovered Allnatts wife was teaching patrol members from his group first aid. This was a breach of security. Shortly after this he resigned The official reason given was due to bad eyesight although it is believed the security breech was the reason. 32 (Fungus) was put under the command of Lt Jack Graves group whilst 29 (Mushroom) & 30 (Truffle) where put under the command of Captain George McNicholl the Intelligence Officer from local HQ at the Garth for a few months before being handed over to Fenwick Lucks Group.
