I am pleased to say that writer Owen Sheers has now confirmed he will be attending the July 4th Remembrance day at Coleshill this year.Owen's award winning book "Resistance" is currently in the early stages of being made into a feature film. Owen plans to discuss the forthcoming film on the July 4th event and may also be offering a book signing.He joins an impressive list of speakers all of which can be seen here. Today a large group of CART members travelled to The British Resistance Museum located at Paham Airfield in Suffolk. It was an amazing day and the members of BROM made us feel very welcome and supplied a great lunch. A few of us spent the first few hours on paperwork research while the others got chatting to the on site experts. A must see is their mock underground OB. You can read more about the Museum here. 27th March 2010 - ConfirmedA C.A.R.T organised trip to The Museum of the British Resistance at Parham, Suffolk.We will have the venue exclusively opened for us on this long day trip leaving from Highworth and will have time to explore all areas and look at some of the donated material from Auxiliers around the country. We are pleased to say our second war talk The History Of The Auxiliary Unit will be given by Bill King on May 12th at 7pm in Highworth.
Bill has conducted extensive research on the role of the British Resistance Organisation (Auxiliary Units) and has contributed to the book ‘With Britain in Mortal Danger’ published in December 2002.
