Commissioned:	Aug 1935 [66176] and joined the 1st Battalion Queens Own Cameron Highlanders at Catterick.

Career:

Aug 1935	Passing Out Parade 2nd Lt
1939	Aide-de-Camp to the Governor of Gibraltar (See first image below)
14th May 1941	The Governor Sir Clive Gerard Liddell returned to UK
Aug 1941	Recruited by Eustace Maxwell into Auxiliary Units. Became Intelligence Officer on the Scottish Borders from the east at Blackadder /Chirnside, to Castle Douglas over on the west coast area. His HQ was at St Boswells. There were 20 patrols and 21 OB's including his own in his area of responsibility.
1943	Promoted T/Captain
29th Aug 1943	Promoted T/Major and posted to Aux GHQ at Coleshill House to Command the SDS Special Duties Section.
1944	Volunteered for the SAS but PF was not taken as medically unfit. Injuries resulting from a Car accident caused him to be medically down graded and left him having to salute with his left hand.
Post War 1951	Served on the Staff of the Military Government in Germany Rejoined the 1st Battalion and Commanded ‘C’ Coy in the Canal Zone. Assistant Military Attaché in Belgrade and Saigon.
2 April 1959	Retires on retirement pay
