Recruited by Eustace Maxwell into Auxiliary Units. Became Intelligence Officer on the Scottish
Borders from the east at Blackadder /Chirnside, to Castle Douglas over on the west coast area. His
HQ was at St Boswells. There were 20 patrols and 21 OB's including his own in his area of
responsibility.
