Maryculter is several miles from Aberdeen to the west. The area is part of Royal Deeside and at the time
had a railway line and bridges over the River Dee. The area also has a road that allows Aberdeen to bypassed to /
from Stonehaven direction

Given the close proximity to Milltimber, the names have been
assumed based on the River Dee splitting the areas. Please also see Milltimber Patrol report for names.
Unknown, may have been just to the South of Maryculter in heavily wooded area. Research is ongoing.
The likely targets would have been bridges over the River Dee. This would be a natural barrier for invasion
troops trying to head North or South. There is a road between Stonehaven in the South that would allow
bypassing of Aberdeen that the patrol would likely monitor / attack.
