Forres is a small farming  town on main road and rail networks between Aberdeen and Inverness.  Forres had a bomber command training airfield and the main base at RAF Kinloss nearby.

Main road and rail links, Bridge over the River Findhorn, RAF stations in Forres and Kinloss, Beside Kinloss was an inland sea bay which shipping / seaplanes could have used.

Most likely Blairmore House in Huntly.

We suspect they were issued with the standard kit.
