Biography

Geoff worked tirelessly in later life writing and contributing to many articles in books and magazines on the creation, role and training of Auxiliary Units. His devotion meant the knowledge of their existence was passed to the next generation. He was pivotal in organising the first Auxilier reunion at Coleshill in 1994.

He later moved to Winchester.

He wrote about the Auxiliary Units in his memoirs.

Thought to be the last Auxilier recruited in the country, former boy scout Geoff was the 17 year old brother of Scout Section and Sussex Intelligence Officer Captain Roy Bradford. He was a Civil Engineering student at the time and had been a cyclist messenger for the local ARP Headquarters. He was told his role would be as a runner for Captain Gerald Slee in the event of invasion.

He never thought about possible reprisals.
